Audemars Piguet celebrates 150 years of innovative craftsmanship
Beyond time itself. To mark 150 years of uncompromising excellence, Audemars Piguet unveils a collection that bridges heritage and innovation. From ceramic chronographs echoing the night sky, to a crown-only perpetual calendar, to chiming masterpieces adorned with opal dials, each creation demonstrates the Manufacture’s unrivalled fusion of artistry and engineering.
These are not just watches. They are wearable expressions of time, space, and sound—shaped by the hands of master artisans and the soul of the Vallée de Joux.
The night sky, captured in ceramic
The iconic deep blue of the Vallée de Joux’s night sky—“Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50”—now graces ceramic for the first time in two dynamic Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph models. Achieving a homogeneous hue in this notoriously challenging material took years of innovation, blending advanced machining with artisanal hand-finishing to reveal rich depth, luminous play of light, and signature AP refinement.

The new models:

Fully dressed from bezel to bracelet in “Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50” ceramic, this model features a monochromatic “Méga Tapisserie” dial, 18-carat white gold luminescent markers, and the flyback Calibre 4404. Notably, it debuts a new integrated ceramic bracelet where the connection pins are now seamlessly hidden for a refined finish.
A bold two-tone silhouette pairs stainless steel with ceramic elements on the bezel, crown, and pushers. The dial features a matching “Méga Tapisserie” motif, while the chronograph counters offer lighter blue tones with crisp white indications for exceptional legibility. It comes on a textured calfskin strap with AP’s interchangeable strap system, along with an additional blue rubber strap for versatility.
Both timepieces feature a sapphire caseback revealing their integrated flyback chronograph movements (Calibres 4401 and 4404), showcasing refined finishing and a clear view of the column wheel’s mechanics—a perfect blend of performance and aesthetic harmony.

For the first time, all adjustments—day, date, month, leap year, and moon phase—are controlled by a single crown, eliminating the need for external tools or pushers. This “all-in-one” crown system makes this highly complex mechanism travel-ready, tool-free, and foolproof.

- Patented progressive date disc ensures perfect spacing and improved legibility across all digits.
- Subtly integrated into the day subdial, a 24-hour display adds both functionality and visual balance.

Blending centuries-old artistry with cutting-edge acoustics, the latest Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Grande Sonnerie Carillon Supersonnerie timepieces represent the pinnacle of chiming watchmaking. These masterpieces are powered by the hand-wound Calibre 2956, which merges three exceptional elements:
- Grande Sonnerie (strikes the hours and quarters automatically),
- Carillon (three gongs instead of two for richer harmony), and
- Supersonnerie—a patented acoustic system developed by Audemars Piguet and introduced in 2015’s Royal Oak Concept RD#1, delivering unprecedented volume, clarity, and resonance.

Crystal opal and two-tone gold variants: Crafted in white, pink, and platinum combinations, each variation is distinct in its materials, textures, and tonality.
Creating an opal dial involves slicing the fragile stone to just 0.45 mm, selecting flawless specimens, and mounting them onto a metal base to prevent cracking—a highly demanding process with a high rejection rate due to the stone’s low hardness (5.5–6.5 Mohs).
All five variants bear the special 150th-anniversary logo on the caseback—a subtle reminder that these are more than technical marvels; they are celebratory pieces marking a century and a half of uncompromising dedication to watchmaking.
